2008 Apollo Bay Young Songwriter Winner & Telstra Road to Tamworth Grand Finalist

Caitlin Harnett, Australian Singer/Songwriter, from Richmond NSW has had a great 2008.  She recently returned from the 16th Apollo Bay Music Festival as winner of the Young Songwriter Award and in January secured a Top 8  spot at the Telstra Road to Tamworth Grand Final.  Caitlin impressed the judges and large crowd with her self penned tracks  "I'll Keep Moving" and "Running in Circles".  The judges commented that she "ticks all the boxes" and her "original songs are as good as many established artists"  high praise for this young artist.

Caitlin has a natural stage presence that draws you in and a beautiful voice that compels you to listen. Her moving lyrics and vocal style capture the audience attention from the first note, showing a depth and feeling well beyond her years. Her influences include Patty Griffin, Mindy Smith, Missy Higgins, Damien Rice, Fion Regan.

Caitlin's dedication and hard work has really paid off over the last few years.  She is a  graduate of the  2006 and 2007 Camerata  and her songwriting skills have been recognised with  finalist nominations in the  ASA Songwriting, TSA Songwriting, and CCMA Songwriting,
